Morrison Home Health Care Agency is Hiring a PCA Personal Care Assistant Near Chesapeake, VA
Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide support and assistance to individuals in need of personal care services. As a Personal Care Assistant, you will play a crucial role in helping individuals maintain their independence and improve their quality of life.
Duties:
- Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Provide assistance with mobility and transfers
- Administer medication reminders and assist with medication management
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding if necessary
- Perform light housekeeping tasks, such as tidying up living areas and doing laundry
- Provide companionship and engage in meaningful conversations with clients
- Accompany clients to appointments or social outings as needed
- Monitor and report any changes in client's condition to the appropriate healthcare professionals
Experience:
- Previous experience as a Personal Care Assistant or similar role is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of basic caregiving techniques and principles
- Ability to provide emotional support and maintain a positive attitude
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to adapt to different client needs and preferences
